My love for baking began when I was young, when I used to watch my mother bake mine & my siblings’ birthday cakes. I would stand on a step stool and peer into the bowl of my mother’s KitchenAid mixer, inhaling deeply and taking in the sweet aromas of butter and sugar churning. That was love at first…smell.
Years later, I bought my own KitchenAid mixer and from there on out, I baked sweet treats for my family and friends. They always told me I should open up my own bakeshop—that if they won the lottery, they would buy me my own just so I could share my sweet treats with the world. Well, turns out, they never won the lottery. But here I am, still passionate as ever about sharing my sweet treats with people. The smiles and utter joy experienced when biting into one of my gourmet treats is what makes all the hard work, late nights, and achy feet all worth it.
